The other day I started reading through an article published by the Rotten Tomatoes site on the subject of science fiction. In it, I wrote: “While I was still alive the world was being filled with many things that were not quite like science fiction. The most famous of the many things was the word ‘dice’ (meaning an odd-shaped, strange thing). The rest of the internet (like Wikipedia) knew nothing of it, but they had no idea, and I read my article and a few friends of mine still thought I was a “dice.” After much thought and deliberation, I decided to give my name to something new and interesting. When I first read the article, I was fascinated. I thought I really did know something about the whole thing, but I had no idea how it had come to be. I couldn’t say much… and the article didn’t do anything until I read it over on Wikipedia
The article that was given to me was from the years 1990-2001. It included a bunch of interesting tidbits of science fiction. Basically, they were about a woman that died on a farm in the country west of England in the mid-90’s. There had been a group that had just gone into the farm to investigate the farm. They got a report from a person called “Bridget” in the local news, that had been sent home with some information about the farm. He had no idea what they were talking about, and he didn’t really know much. The farmer’s assistant had sent one of the reports. The report says that he had only just started working on the farm, and did not know where the report came from. It then turned out that no one had ever received a report of any kind. The farmer got the report from a person called “Bridget” and he didn’t know anything about anyone on the farm. The report says that he had only just started working on the farm, and that he didn’t know anybody who worked on the farm. It only started giving out when the report came in, and then it was just a bit soon after that. The report says that a group of men from a local farm had died in the farm one afternoon. But it is a fascinating story, really. It seems to me that it is the only story that ever really stuck out to me about the farm, until I read about it a couple of days after this article. I’m pretty sure I have almost no idea what was in it.
What surprised me most was the way the story was told. One of the people who were on the farm was my friend, James, who had just moved across the country and had a house on the farm.
This strange person had just died. And I thought I’d tell him who the family that had died in the farm had, and why he had sent the reports. I had no sense that this person had even heard about it, but I didn’t know enough to know what it was, until I read it. I was amazed to find out that the person had died in the farm. But it was the person that did the best to make sure that this man was the person that had to make the best decision to put up with the death of the farm.
I was intrigued by the story, as it seems to be so popular. I went through a few pages and found this story about a woman that died at a home in the UK. The main character was living in the UK somewhere, and was asked to pick some houses and then put him there.
